Itapema is located just off the BR-101 highway, 13 km from Camboriú and 78 km from Florianópolis. It is also the gateway to the beach of Porto Belo and the Bombinhas region (Bombas, Bombinhas, Quatro Ilhas, Zimbros, Mariscal, etc.). A busy tourist resort in the summer months (from 15 December to 28 February), Itapema is a calm place for the rest of the year. With warm sea waters all year round, this beach attracts people of all ages especially those from cold regions. The civil construction sector is very active here and the area offers good investment opportunities with a high appreciation rate. Itapema's main beaches are Costão de Itapema, Praia da Ilhota, Praia Grossa, Canto da Praia, Praia Central e Meia Praia.
